Celebrate the beauty of berries and botanical embroidery in this relaxing, beginner-friendly workshop inspired by nature’s tiny treasures. In Embroidered by Nature: Berried Treasure, you’ll learn simple hand embroidery and historical button-making techniques while creating a dimensional blueberry stem complete with berries and leaves.

What You'll Do

Using Elizabethan button-making techniques alongside beginner-friendly embroidery stitches, you’ll construct and embroider a 3D blueberry stem from start to finish. You’ll learn how to shape dimensional berries using wooden beads, add embroidered leaves and stems, and combine texture and color to create a decorative botanical artwork.

With hands-on instruction throughout the workshop, you’ll build confidence in foundational embroidery techniques while creating a finished piece mounted in an embroidery hoop and ready to display at home.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with at least one completed embroidered blueberry stem and the skills to continue experimenting with dimensional embroidery on your own.

  • Basic satin stitch techniques
