The Prairie Burn

We had perfect weather for our first prairie burn--light winds out the north, northeast, overcast sky. The volunteers from Grand Prairie Friends, lead by their fearless leader, Jamie Ellis, did an excellent job and the burn was over in a litle more than one hour.  In the midst of the ashes, we discovered an intact buck deer skeleton, complete with a six point rack of antlers.
