Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about Dining at Caprae

Allergens/Dietary Restrictions
  • Please alert your server upon seating of any allergies.

  • Nut and shellfish allergies can always be accommodated. 

  • Most menu items can be made without gluten.  

  • As we are a working goat dairy and intentionally strive to feature our farm's award-wining cheeses throughout our menu, we have very limited dairy-free and vegan options. We invite you to speak with your server about available menu items, but please be aware it will be a small selection.

  • Prix fixe menus cannot be substituted. Please speak with your server about a la carte options.

Methods of Payment

We are a cashless business, and there is no cash or way to make change on the premises. We accept all major credit/debit cards and Apple Pay.

Tipping

We are a non-tipping establishment. An 18% service charge will be added to all dinner checks. This charge supports wages and benefits for the entire farm team, including the culinary team serving you at Caprae, the dairy team caring for our goats and land, and the creamery team behind our award-winning cheeses. Thank you for supporting our team with your decision to dine with us at the farm!

Parking

Upon arrival please look for RED flags indicating the entrance to our parking lot. It may be muddy or slippery (we are a working farm), so please use caution when walking to and from your vehicle. If you require ADA parking, please proceed 100 yards north on Lincoln Ave to the driveway marked with a BLUE flag indicating Reserved Parking. There is a concrete pad with a paved walkway leading you to the entrance of Caprae. Drivers are welcome to pull forward to the reserved parking area to drop off guests that may wish to avoid walking in from the parking lot.

Corkage Fee

Guests are welcome to bring wine from their private selection to enjoy with their meal. A corkage fee of $25/bottle will be added to your check. We ask that guests only bring wines that are not represented on our wine list.

While gift cards cannot be used to purchase tickets for pre-paid events on our Tock reservation page, guests are welcome to call us and we can take gift cards as payment over the phone to secure your tickets. Gift cards can also be used in our restaurant and at our farmers market stands.

 

Reservations

We offer two types of reservations for dinner service on our booking platform https://www.exploretock.com/prairie-fruits-farm/

  • Our 4 Course Chef's Dinner experience is a wonderful way to just relax and enjoy your meal, knowing that Executive Chef Garron Sanchez will provide you with a wonderful evening. You can pre-pay for this reservation online when making reservations, or make a standard dinner reservation when booking and select the Chef's Dinner (tasting menu) option upon arrival when speaking with your server. 

  • Our Dinner Reservation (seasonal a la carte menu, no pre-payment required) is a standard reservation, no pre-payment or advance menu selection needed. Simply book the day, time and type of table you would like and upon arrival your server will discuss our seasonal menu with you. 

  • Sunday Brunch reservations are also available on Tock. 

  • Reservations open 60 days in advance of each available date, updating every morning at 9am CST.

Dress Code

Our food is the fanciest thing about us. We welcome all guests to come as they are, in whatever clothes they are comfortable in. Please note that our parking is about 100 yards from the front door and that the path is not paved, so we suggest that on wet days guests wearing heels use extra caution.
